Mapping of the Model

Each Xuzzy, along with its connections to other Xuzzies, is visualized using graphical database techniques and custom indexes. This allows users to see how the construct universe is structured and how different Xuzzies interact.

Capstone Display

The “Capstone Display” represents the construct universe, divided into 1 million zones. Each zone is defined by three coordinates: Time, Period, and Construct.

  • Time: Shows how long each Xuzzy exists.
  • Period: Spans 10,000 years (5,000 in the past, 5,000 in the future).
  • Construct: Contains 99 categories that describe the universe.

Activity Display

The “Activity Display” tracks different types of activities such as Communication, Movement, Health, Weather, Science, Knowledge, Power, and more. Each activity is further divided into Natural, Artificial, and other relevant subsections. The Activity is displayed in a radar chart which just outside the sphere, like rings around Saturn. The inner ring is the past, the middle ring is the present, and the outer ring is prediction.

The effect is that at a glance, you can see the past, present, and future? Where activity takes place in the chain of events. Multiple activities are listed at once, to get some indication of the amount of activity which is associated with that Xuzzy.

Construct Display

This display organizes the universe into several key constructs like:

  • Foundational Sciences
  • Human and Social Sciences
  • Technological Advancements
  • Philosophical Frameworks
  • Environmental Sciences, and more.

Whole Display

Each Xuzzy is visually represented as a transparent sphere with three longitude and latitude bands, representing its membership in the six facets (Macro, Meso, Micro, Objective, Subjective, and Activity). The sphere has three orbital rings (past, present, predictive), and the data repeats in smaller spheres within larger spheres, creating a fractal-like pattern.

Position of Spheres

The position of a Xuzzy’s sphere depends on its cause-and-effect relationships and influence. The farther the sphere is from the centre of its parent sphere, the stronger its influence. The centre-to-centre distance between connected spheres represents a total value of 1 in fuzzy logic.

Labels

Labels beneath each sphere provide metadata. There are three tables on the right:

  1. Top Table: Describes the Xuzzies construct and connections.
  2. Second Table: Shows past, present, and predicted activities from the Activity Index.
  3. Third Table: Displays x, y, z coordinates based on user interaction.

Mouse Interactions

The interface is built using X3Dom dynamic charting software. Users can rotate the sphere, zoom in and out, and double-click nodes to bring them to the centre of the display. This allows users to easily explore and shift their perspective on the construct universe.

Metadata & Data Sets

At times some constructs and Xuzzies may have swap between data and metadata. They might also contain datasets, observations in either quantitative or qualitative formats. These datasets are stored within the Omniunify data repository to be recalled when needed.

Construct Library

Because of the quasi-fractal nature of repetition within the bounded rationality of our existence in the real world or in the construct world, a library of previous Xuzzies are retained with time and space indexes, to help populate other Xuzzies at any membership systems or subsystems.
